14 Week Step Study Workshops

The Twelfth Step Within Committee is leading a 14 week 12 Step workshop starting on August 14th and continuing through November 13th. A series of speakers will lead each session to help do an intensive study of the steps using the OA Twelve and Twelve and the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, 4th edition. This is a great opportunity if you haven't worked the steps yet or even if you have and want to do it again. Registration information here. Scholarships are still available.

Fall 2010 OA Region III Convention and Assembly in Tempe, AZ

The Fall 2010 OA Region III Convention and Assembly will be held in Tempe, AZ August 13th -- 15th. Registration and information can be found here. In addition a cruise ticket will be raffled at the Tempe convention in August. See "Region III Fund Raisers" below.

50 Years of OA

The OA World Service Convention will occur in Los Angeles August 26-29, 2010. In conjunction with the convention OA will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. There is a bunch of information about the convention at the WSO website at this link; http://www.oa.org/convention/.

2010 St. David Retreat

The 2010 retreat will be held on the weekend of Oct 22nd to the 24th. The retreat this year will be on the Tools and will be presented by OASEAZ members. See the latest flier for more information. And here is a registration form.

Region III Fund Raisers

There are several ongoing Region III fund raisers. Raffle tickest are being sold for $2, 10 for $15, for a beautiful quilt. The winning ticket will be drawn at the 2010 assemble/convention on August 14th. Visors with the word "Serenity" in a variety of colors can be purchased for $15. Finally a ticket for the Recovery cruise in 2011 (valued at $600-$700) will be raffled at the Sierra Vista IDEA day celebration on November 20th. If you are not planning to participate in the recovery cruise a comparably vallued VISA gift card will be substituted. Contact Janis (janisroth [at] msn.com, 325-4441) for tickets and details.

IDEA celebration

Sierra Vista OA will again host IDEA (International Day Experiencing Abstinence). It is always the third Saturday in November. This year that is Saturday November 20th. So mark your calendars. More detailed information will be posted here when it is available.

OA Region III Recovery Cruise

Region III is hosting a “Recovery at Sea” cruise March 20-27, 2011 . All OA'ers are welcome. The cruise information flyer can be found here.
